What did you create? 

I wrote an original song on the guitar inspired by Taylor Swift’s ‘folklore’

Why did you create this? 

I enjoy writing music as a form of expression and I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and write a song on an unfamiliar instrument as well as take inspiration from another artist because I thought their storytelling was brilliant.

What were the biggest challenges you faced? 

The biggest challenge I faced was coming up with inspiration for the song. Once I had the first few lyrics, the rest came easy, but it tools me months to even start.

What advice would you give to next year’s PP students?

Set yourself a simple goal, something challenging but not incredibly time-consuming.
