For my personal project I am going to be learning/improving my pottery on the wheels skills. This summer,I did a few lessons of pottery with my mum because one of our favourite show we watch a show together on channel 4 called the great pottery throw down, which is a competitions show where the contestant make pottery often thrown, and we really wanted to try it out. I found it really fun and relaxing, and I would really like to continue to develop my skills and learn new ones. When me and my mum were watching the pottery show we would look at what they were making and think wow we could never do that, it looked so difficult especially the things they would make on the wheel, we were so amazed it looked like magic to us. So it was really cool for us to try it out and see that if we did pursue it then maybe we could one day make these fantastic things like the people on the show. As a final product I would like to make a minimum set of 4 mugs that look similar in shape and size and that are decorated the same to tell that they are a set. I have made this success criteria based on things that will help me to create a set of mugs that are both functional and appealing to the eye.
