1. Hong Kong Academy collects and holds personal information of individuals for various
purposes. Hong Kong Academy (HKA) is committed to complying with the requirements of
the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Hong Kong. In doing so, it will be ensured that
HKA staff and any parties who are assigned by HKA to handle the information, will comply
with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.

2. HKA may also disclose some of the data to third parties such as agencies (including the
Hong Kong government), service providers and contractors (whether within or outside
Hong Kong) appointed by HKA to undertake some of its academic, pastoral and
administrative and alumni functions. Otherwise set out above, Hong Kong Academy will
not disclose any personal data to any third parties without prior written consent.

3. Under the Ordinance, users have the right to request access to and correction of their
personal data held. All current HKA families can correct personal data directly through the
Household Profile Update in Veracross. Should you wish to access your personal
information held by HKA, please send your request by email to
privacy@hkacademy.edu.hk.

4. Opting out of email communication. Please keep in mind that by opting out of receiving
this information, you or your son or daughter may miss important information related to
school activities that may affect his or her participation in the school community.
The phrase HKA includes all programmes operated by HKA, including our admissions,
enrolment, hkaShop, Extended Learning Programme, LIVE@HKA, Conferences and
Community Events.

香港学堂收集个人资料声明

1,香港学堂收集及持有个別人士的个人资料作各种用途。香港学堂致力达到符合《个人资
料(私隐)条例》规定的保障标准。此举可确保处理上述资料的香港学堂员工及所指派的任何
人士均遵守最严格的安全及保密标准。

2,香港学堂可向第三方披露部分资料,例如机构(包括香港政府在內)、服务提供者和承
办商(不论是在香港境內或境外),以担当一些学术、学生辅导、行政和校友关系的功能。
除上文所载之外,香港学堂于未获得事先书面同意的情況下,不会向任何第三方披露任何个
人资料。

3,根据上述条例,用戶有权要求查阅及更正其被持有的个人资料。目前所有香港学堂家长
都可以直接在Veracross下的Household Profile Update更正个人资料。如欲查阅或更正香港
学堂所持阁下的个人资料,请将要求电邮至 privacy@hkacademy.edu.hk.

4,我们需要给您选择不接收这些资讯的机会。请紧记,通过选择不接收这些资讯,你或你
