I created two essays/op-eds about topics that I found both thought provoking and contemporary. The essays were based off of source material (either a quote/tv series/book) to expand on the themes and tensions explored. I created these essays since I wanted to both improve my writing abilities and research topics I found interesting more deeply. 

The biggest challenges I faced was time management. Because of this lack of planning, I ended up getting extensions for making last tweaks to my essays. 

The advice that I would give next year’s students is to plan your time well and do something you are interested in because the process is time consuming.
